Social Media Marketing: A Lifestyle

In today’s society, social media has become a very large part of many people’s lives. For some, it has even become their life. Travel blogger, Kiersten Rich, runs the blog The Blonde Abroad, and she has made it a part of her lifestyle. Kiersten left her corporate finance job to become a world traveler, and has now been to over 50 countries. How does she do this you may ask? She does a whole lot of social media marketing.

Kiersten is very active on many social media websites such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, and YouTube. She does the majority of social media marketing on her Instagram, and creates content for several brands. Some popular brands that Kiersten has marketed on her social media accounts are GoPro, Free People, Burlington, and many more. She does a great job at adding her own creative touch to these posts, but still marketing the product or the company. On her blog website, she has a specific tab for consulting and content creation.

Kiersten states at the top of her website on this page, “Wondering how to transform your product from a commodity into an experience? Not sure how to leverage the power of social media and connect with your target demographic? Need help aligning your branding with your company values? Whether you are a tourism board, travel company, property, or product, I can help.” She can do strategic consulting by creating a social media strategy and brand development. In addition to that, she can create content that exemplifies digital story telling, beautiful photography, and engaging videos.

I really admire Kiersten’s blog and all of her creations on her Instagram. As I have previously stated in other blog posts, I really would love to get into this type of career. This lifestyle enables you to travel the world and do what you love, but you can make a living for yourself by promoting products and places.
